'Hippopotamus'

Sparks New Album

In an alternate reality, Sparks is the biggest band in the world and has been for the entire 46 years they’ve been making music. As it is, their peculiar genius still remains somewhat outside the mainstream. Their cult appeal as outsiders attracts a fan base of equally outside outsiders and as musicians who appear to define themselves by their curious anonymity, they seem perfectly comfortable with that. Their fabulous 24th album, ‘Hippopotamus’ is as unpredictable, witty, melodic and decidedly left-field as all 23 of their previous albums as evidenced by this, the 2nd single, ‘What The Hell Is It This Time?’
